Privacy Policy
The short version: We ask for your first name, last name and email address to create your account, and we email you a one-time code to sign you in. We use that information to run Quodsi and to talk to you about it. Details are below.
1. Who we are and what this covers
This policy applies to Quodsi ("Quodsi," "we," "us"), and covers two things: our marketing website at quodsi.com (the "Website") and Quodsi for Draw.io at drawio.quodsi.com (the "Product"). Together we call them the "Services."
Quodsi
330 E Liberty
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
Email: support@quodsi.com
The Services are intended for users in the United States.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create a free Quodsi account, we collect your first name, last name and email address. We do not use passwords. To sign you in, our authentication provider, Kinde, emails a one-time code to your address, and you enter the code to complete account creation or sign-in.
Information you send us
If you email us, request a walkthrough, or fill in a form on the Website (such as the roadmap vote), we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address and message.
The roadmap vote form on the Website, which is provided by Tally, collects only your vote. It does not ask for your name, your email address or any other information.
Your diagrams and simulation models
The diagrams you build or upload, and the simulation models and results you create, are stored on Quodsi's servers. Only Quodsi employees can access them. We keep them indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them. To have your diagrams and models removed, email support@quodsi.com.
Technical information and cookies
Website. Our Website is hosted on Squarespace, which may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, and may use cookies, in order to operate the site and measure its use. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the Website is used, such as which pages are visited. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device, browser and pages viewed, which Google processes on our behalf. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Product. The Product uses only what is needed to keep you signed in.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To provide, maintain and improve the Services.
- To answer your questions and give you support.
- To contact you about your account, and to tell you about Quodsi features and updates. You can ask us to stop at any time (see Section 7).
- To keep the Services secure and to comply with the law.
4. The AI helper
Quodsi includes an AI helper that guides you as you add data to your shapes. You choose which AI model powers the helper from a list of available models.
When you use the helper, your model (the diagram) and the messages you send to the helper are sent to the AI model you selected, so that it can respond. This content is not used to train the AI providers' models.
If you would rather not send your diagram to an AI model, you can build and edit your model without using the helper.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Services, and only as needed for that purpose. These include:
- Kinde, which handles account creation and sign-in, including sending your one-time code.
- Squarespace, which hosts our Website.
- Tally, which provides the form used for the roadmap vote.
- Microsoft Azure, which hosts the Product.
- Google, which delivers the emails we send you, and which provides Google Analytics for the Website.
- The providers of the AI models you choose to use with the AI helper, which receive your model and messages as described in Section 4.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of Quodsi or others, or in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, unless the law requires otherwise. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We keep your diagrams and simulation models indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them. To make either request, email support@quodsi.com.
7. Your choices and rights
You can email support@quodsi.com to ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you product emails. Put "Unsubscribe" in the subject line to stop emails. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respond to requests as the law requires.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and our sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Users outside the United States
The Services are intended for use in the United States. If you use them from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let account holders know.
